ABOUT THE PUB

The Springer Spaniel is a traditional rustic 18th centuary pub located in the pretty hamlet of Treburley. We are a delightlful little gastro pub that strives for exceptional service and quality home cooked meals using the best produce that the south west has to offer. We host an array of lovely cocktails and local beers along side a gastro pub menu with some simple pub classics. however please note that all of our items are created with fresh local premium products and cooked to order.

We are dog friendly in all areas at the springer spaniel so please if you don't like doggo we probably aren't for you. We are extremely family friendly and have fab Springer pups (Childrens) choices available. We have a generously sized car park however we do get exceptionally busy and during peak times parking may be difficult however pop in and staff will do their best to help. Unfortunately as we are an 18th century building our disabled facilities are lacking. We do not have access to disabled toilets and there are a total of 3 steps leading up to the toilets. 2 steps that go into our restaurant and one step into the main bar/ snug are/ building. We do have a ramp that can be placed outside should you need it. If you have a requirements other than standard dietary we recommend that you call in advance to save any disappointment. The team will do everything they can to assist.

The Springer Spaniel, previously Sportsmans arms dates back as early as 1815 and before as a fully functional inn. you can still spot some of the buildings original beams and bare brick walls in our delightfully rustic Cornish pub.

The sportsmans name was changed in the early 90s by owners at the time John & Margot Pitchford after Margot had fallen in love with her adopted Springer rescue and we are so glad that they did. Back in its hunt days you would often walk in to find dozens of Springer gun dogs lining the original parquet flooring amoungst the huge built in wood burner.

The Springer has always had a fantastic reputation for good food and we hope to continue to build uponthat reputation. The pub has gone through many changes over the years and we are keen to keep the old girl authentic to its Cornish pub roots service classic pub dishes using loacl produce. Proper food, cooked proper!

That being said we are all true foodies here and have given our own twist to some of those pub favourites that everyone loves. Our food is cooked fresh to order using quality ingrediants. pub food just cooked exceptionaly well.

Here at the Springer we are extremely fortunate to have a fantastically knowledgeable team. We are passionate about high quality service with a relaxed atmosphere, We believe that the food should be of a high standard but you have to have a fantastic floor team to compliment the food.

Our team are extremely bubbly, enthusiastic and professional individuals who generally love what they do and this shows every day through the amazing atmosphere that they create. Along with our floor team we have a group of amazingly talented young chefs, our kitchen work very hard to ensure that they provide consistent, fresh & simple dishes that we all love. These hard working professionals have helped the Springer in building on its already amazing reputation. We take an enormous amount of pride in our crew!!

Our kitchen is one of the few in the area that not only serve food all day but is also powered by a very young team. A young team where all but one trained in our very own kitchen. We invest a lot in the younger generation and are so proud of their hard work and accomplishments. They really are some of the absolute best!

WE ARE A FAMILY HERE!! We are A very close team and we like to think that, that shines through every single day.

We would also like to take this opportunity to show our team how much we admire and are greatfull for everything they do. Without the truely amazing team that we have built together we really would not be where we are today.
